Frequently Asked Questions
The following is a brief overview of frequently asked questions. Many of these topics will be discussed in greater detail during consultation call (optional) and/or initial intake appointment.
-
Our initial session will last 55 minutes and will consist of me gathering information about your presenting concerns, background, and goals for treatment. You will be given an opportunity to ask any question you have and express any concerns. At this time it is important for you to determine if you believe I am the right therapist for you and for me to ensure I can meet your needs.
-
I generally see patients once a week for 53 minute sessions. However, frequency of session can be adjust depending on patient needs and will be discussed in our initial intake. I encourage these conversations (and others) to continue throughout treatment as it is important for you to have a space to, not only address your presenting issues, but to be empowered in your treatment process.

I am currently in network with Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, and Pacific Source. Patients using insurance are responsible for any co-pay amount at the time of session. In some cases (depending on benefits) a deductible will need to be met before insurance covers cost of session.
I am out of network for all other insurance. I would encourage you to check with your insurance provider to see what the out of network benefits may be. I am happy to provide a superbill of services each month for you to submit to your insurance for reimbursement.
I often work with patients who wish to pay out of pocket as this can be preferable for a variety of reasons.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency items or services. This includes related costs like medical tests, prescription drugs, equipment, and hospital fees.
Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.
Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call the No Surprises help desk at 1-800-985-3059.
